Illegal Trade: Illegal goods, vehicles and teak seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

From the 21st to the 24th of September, illegal electronic devices, vegetable oil, restricted fishing nets, vehicles, motorcycle and teak were seized at the Asia World container checkpoint,  at the Yangon International Airport and at the Mayanchaung checkpoint as well as in Tanintharyi Region, in Monywa township and in Pyu township of Toungoo district.

In total, illegal goods, vehicles and teak worth over 121 million Kyats were confiscated. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
