Illegal Trade: Illegal goods, vehicle and timber seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

From the 9th to the 12thof March, illegal goods including marine foods, sports gear, pipes, costmeic products, mini speakers, shower cream, vehicle, used TVs and refrigerators, liquor and timber worth over 295 million Kyats were confiscated on the Mandalay-PyinOoLwin Road and on the Mandalay-Lashio Road as well as in Kengtung Township, in Latha Township and in Myawaddy Township and at the Thanlwin Bridge (Hpa-An) Combined Checkpoint and in Bago and Kyauktaga townships. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
