Illegal Trade: Illegal goods, vehicle and teak confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade. On the28th, 29th and 30th of April and on the 1st of May, illegal goods including second-hand mobile handsets,ceiling lamp LED complete sets, wireless speakers, bird’s nests and an unregistered vehicle and illegal teak worth over 180 million Kyats were confiscated at the Nantaw checkpoint andat the Sinphyu checkpoint as well as in Kengtung Township and at the Yangon International Airport and in Shwebo township. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
