Illegal Trade: Illegal goods, timber worth over 1 billion Kyats seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 7th, 9thand 11thof June, illegal goods including backholes, gasoline generator sets,high voltage transformers and timber worth over 1 billion Kyats were confiscated in Mohnyin Township area and at the Mayanchaung Permanent Checkpoint, at the Asia World Container Checkpoint as well as in Muse Township and Bago district. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
