Illegal Trade: Illegal goods, teak and vehicle confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 7th, 8th and 9th of June, illegal goods including iron nail, foodstuffs, used refrigerators, jade stones, Lifeline With All Accessories, teak and an unregistered vehicle worth over 198 million Kyats were confiscated at the LetPanHla-Singu temporary checkpoint and at the 16-mile Kyaukchaw Checkpoint as well as in Thaton Township and at the Mayanchaung Permanent Checkpoint, at the Yaypu Permanent Checkpoint, at the Asia World Container Checkpoint, at the MITT port and in Taungoo District and in Myeik Township area.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
