Illegal Trade: Illegal consumer goods and vehicle confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the24th and 26th of May, illegal goods including boxes of milk, undervest cotton, cheese cream wafer and other kinds of consumer goodsas well as an unregistered vehicle worth over 743 million Kyats were confiscated at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint, at the MITT Port Terminal container checkpoint, at the 16thMile Kyaukchaw checkpoint and at the Taninthayi Bridge Police outpost.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
