Illegal Trade: Illegal consumber goods, timber, motorbikes seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th of September, illegal consumer goods, timber, vehicle, teak doors,  motorbikes, charcoal and clothes were seized on the way from Mawlamyine to Kyaukpadaung and in Bago, Toungoo and Thayawady districts and on the Yangon-Pyay Road as well as in Hinthada township, in Hlegu township, in Thandwe and Taungup townships, in Homalin township, in Shwebo township, in Natmauk township and at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) Combined Checkpoint.

In total, illegal consumer goods, timber and motorbikes worth over 151 million Kyats were confiscated. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
