Illegal trade: Garments, petsticides, vehicles, timbers captured

An effective action is being taken to prevent illegal trade under the law supervised by the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.

On October 7, the on-duty custom team under the management of custom department confiscated pieces of garment exceeded in the Import Declaration (ID).

Similarly, the combined inspection team under the management of the Mandalay Region Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force seized the materials assumed to be petsticides which cannot be submitted official documents from a vehicle heading to Ommathi-Ommakha from Mandalay at 16 miles Kyauk Chaw Check point.

On October 8, the inspection team led by the Myanmar Police Force under the management of the Sagaing Region Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force captured one motor cycle without license and one motor vehicle without license in Monywa Township.

In addition, the combined inspection team led by the region forest department under the management of the Bago Region Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force seized the illegal various timbers in Bago and Taunggo Districts.

Therefore, 7 arrests estimated at 46.896 million Kyats were made on consecutive days from 7 to 8 October, according to the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
