Illegal trade: Fuel oil, industrial materials, vehicles seized

An effective action is being taken to prevent illegal trade under the law supervised by the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee.

On 10 May, two kinds of goods, including 40 clear glasses, from a Mitsubishi light truck were confiscated on Asia highway in Myawady township and 37 cartons of Best quality coat rack high-quality stainless steels from a vehicle heading to Yangon from Myawady were captured at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) combined checkpoint.

5,500 kg of nylon lace fabric from a Hino Profia truck at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint, 1,498.2 kilogrammes of South Asian Style detergent powder from a Toyota Hiace auto at the Yepu permanent checkpoint, 1,965 kg of Superior Cocoa wafers from a container at the Myanmar Industrial Port Terminal container checkpoint and four kinds of goods, including eight boxes of Furongwang cigarette, and two kinds of goods, including 10 Moonax watches, from luggage at the Yangon International Airport (Import Desk) were confiscated.

On 11 May, 18,750 gallons of illegal diesel at the Yadanabon combined checkpoint in Sagaing Township, an AD van car in Homalin Township, a Honda fit car in Shwebo Township and a Super Anbo motorbike in Monywa Township were captured.

Therefore, 16 arrests (estimated value of 281.747 million Kyats) were made on 10 and 11 May, according to the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee.
