Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal teak, motorbikes and goods seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 10th, 11th and 12th of November, illegal goods including BDPP film, illegal teak and hardwood, vegetable oil, LED bulbs, charcoal, unregistered motorbikes and instant noodles worth over 342 million Kyats were confiscated at the Ywathagyi Dry Port, in Bago and Pyay districts, in Taungoo and Pyay districts, at the Nyaungkhashay x-ray station, at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint and at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) combined checkpoint. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
