Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal teak, goods and vehicle confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 12th and 13th of July, illegal timbers and goods including coal bags, circuit breaker, jade stone pieces, current transformers and secure multi-function digital panel meter elites as well as illegal teak and an unregistered vehicle worth over 183 million Kyats confiscated at the 16th-Mile Kyaukchaw checkpoint, at the 23rd Milepost in Muse Township area, at the Asia World Port Terminal container checkpoint, at the Ywathagyi Dry Port, in DaikU and Paukkhaung townships and on DaikU-Sittoung Road.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
