Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal teak, goods and vehicle confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 24th and 25th of June, illegal teak parquet and unregistered vehicle as well as various illegal goods including jerry cans of oil, motorbike rims, mats, fabrics and illegal timbers worth over 162 million Kyats were confiscated in Hlegu township and in Thingangyun township as well as at the Eindu-Zathapyin junction, at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) checkpoint and in Thegon township.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
