Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal teak and goods confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

Illegal lead, teak and other wood as well as illegal goods including phone display, foodstuffs and used bicycles  worth over 1 billion Kyats were seized in Kyunsu township, in Nyaunglebin and Thayawady districts, in Muse township, at the Yepu permanent checkpoint, at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint and at the Ywathagyi Dry Port.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
