Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal jewellery, goods and timbers confiscated

Under the supervision of the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 11th and 12th of December, illegal 17 kinds of jewellery worth and goods including electrical device as well as illegal timbers worth over 52 million Kyats were confiscated at the Mandalay International Airport,at the Asia World Port Terminal container checkpoint, at the Yangon InternationalAirport and in Taikkyi Township. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws and procedures.
