Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal goods worth over 349 mln Kyats seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of October, illegal goods including creamic tile, iron door, cutting wheel andhigh-density polyethene as well as illegal teak, hardwood, palm oil and porcelain tiles worth over 349 million Kyats were confiscated at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint, at the Myanmar Industrial Port and at the Asia World Port Terminal container checkpoint as well as in Toungoo district, in Paung township, in Myeik township, in Myitnge township and in Hpa-an township.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
