Illegal Trade Eradication :Illegal goods worth over 260 mln Kyats seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.  

On the 2nd, 5th and 6th of July, illegal goods including foreign liquor, beer, steel chairs, chicken floss, fabric softeners, chicken baskets and an unregistered vehicle as well as LED bulb, helmets, ceramic tiles and used labtop worth over 260 million Kyats were confiscated in Myeik Township and at the 16th-Mile Kyaukchaw checkpoint as well as in Dagon Myothit (North) Township and at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint, at the Myanmar Industrial Port and at the Thanlwin Bridge combined checkpoint. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
