Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal goods worth over 201 mln Kyats confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 27th and 28th of June, illegal goods including toilet commodes, palm oil, bird’s nest, coffee powder, fragrance oil, PVC cabinet, medicines, pieces of wood and umbrellas worth over 201 million Kyats were confiscated at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) combined checkpoint and at the Thanlwin Bridge combined checkpoint as well as on the Kyakalay-Zathapyin road, at the Pauktai Bridge checkpoint and at the Latpanhla-Singu temporary checkpoint. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
