Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal goods, vehicle and teak seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 17th and 18th of October, illegal goods including forklift tyres, monitors, plastic bottles, Wifi routers, unregistered vehicle, pellet packing, teak and hardwood worth over 259 million Kyats were confiscated at the Myanmar Industrial Port, at the Asia World Port Terminal container checkpoint, at the Thilawa Terminal container checkpoint, at the Yepu permanent checkpoint and at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint as well as in Ngaputaw township, in Kyangin township, at the Nyaungkhashay X-Ray station and in Bago and Taungoo districts. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
