Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal goods, timbers and vehicles seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 19th, 20th and 21st of September, illegal goods including closet, dressing tables, bags of black-sesame, LED T8 glass tubes, sets of brush cutter and UNE tiger hose as well as illegal teak and timbers and unregistered vehicles worth over 234 million Kyats were confiscated at the Milepost 15 on Mandalay-PyinOoLwin road, at the 16th Mile Kyaukchaw Checkpoint, at the Myanmar Industrial Port, at the Asia World Port Terminal container checkpoint and at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint as well as in Thaketa township, Hlegu township, in Sagaing township, in ChaungU township and in Bago district.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
