Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal goods, teak and hardwood confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 9th, 10th and 11th of July, illegal goods including child sandals, shrimp, instant noodles, soy milk, electriccradle beds, electric LED bulbs, setsof hotel bathroom, sweetened UHTsoymilk, multi-purpose foam cleaner, Hino diesel engines and illegal teak and hardwood worth over 652 million Kyats were confiscated in Pyigyidaguntownship, in Chanmyathazitownship and in Myawaddy township as well as at the Tachileik-Maeyan combined checkpoint, at theMayanchaung permanentcheckpoint, at the Myanmar IndustrialPort and at the Nyaungkhashay X-Raycheckpoint as well as inPyay district. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
