Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal goods and teak confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 24th, 25th and 26th of November, illegal goods including used iPads, curtain fabric, digital stoves and vegetable oil as well as illegal teak worth over 161 million Kyats were confiscated at Yangon International Airport, at Mandalay International Airport, at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) combined checkpoint, at the Nyaungkhashay x-ray station and in Nyaunglaybin district.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
