Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal goods and teak confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 11th and 12th of August, illegal goods including sets of electric pan cooker, bathroom cabinets and agriculture tractor spare parts as well as suspected drugs, plywood and illegal teak and hardwood worth over 201 million Kyats confiscated on Mandalay-Muse road and on Mandalay-Lashio-Muse road as well as at the Hteedan Port, at the Yangon International Airport and at the Asia World Port Terminal container checkpoint and in Taungoo district.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
