Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal goods and teak confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the11th and 12th of July, illegal goods including watermelons, pineapples, sawn teak, vacuum flasks, iron roundpipes, Polyurethane foam sealant, multi-function cookers, packing material, paper roll and solar bulbs as well as illegal teak worth over 622 million Kyats were confiscated at the 16th-Mile Kyaukchawcheckpoint, at the 21/3 Mileposton Mandalay-Lashio Road, at the Kawkareik(Tadakyoe) combined checkpoint and at the Mayanchaung permanentcheckpoint as well as in Paukkhaung township.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
