Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal goods and teak confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 26th, 27th and 28th of June, illegal dried beef and goods including sofa, roll tissue, bracelets and cut pieces of jade as well as illegal teak, hardwood and other illegal timbers worth over 152 million Kyats were confiscated at the Yepu permanent checkpoint, at the Hteedan Port and at the Asia World Port Terminal container checkpoint as well as in Muse township and in Bago and Thayawaddy districts.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
