Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal goods and foodstuffs confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 25th and 26th of July, illegal consumer goods including bottles of palm oil, Ruby Prawn, bags of rice and bags of sesame as well as illegal goods including motorcycle spare part cylinder block and illegal foodstuffs including  instant rice vermicelli worth over 346 million Kyats were confiscated at the Thanlwin Bridge (Mawlamyine) and at the 16th Mile Kyaukchaw checkpoint as well as  on the Mandalay-Lashio Road and at the Mayanchaung permanent checkpoint.

Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
