Illegal Trade Eradication: Illegal fuel oil, teak, goods and timbers seized

Under the supervision of the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 26th of December,two kinds of goods and 1,920 gallons of 92 fuel oil were seized at the Latpanhla-Singu temporary checkpoint. During inspections on December27, the joint teams seized illegal teak in Kyangintownship, five kinds of goods near Hpa-an Industrial Zone in Hpa-an township and 10 gallons of illegal fuel oil in Dagon Myothit (South) township.

Similarly, the combined teams impounded 11 gallons of illegal crude oil in Yenangyoung township, an unregistered Honda CBR motorbike in Magway township, illegal teak and other illegal timbers in Lewei township on December 27. Totally, thirteen arrests were made on 26 and 27 December, with an estimated value of K105.521 million.Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws and procedures.
