Illegal trade: Animals, communication devices, vehicles seized

An effective action is being taken to prevent illegal trade under the law supervised by the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.

On October 4 and 5, An on-duty team under the supervision of the Customs Department at the Asia World Container Terminal Checkpoint, a combined team led by Myanmar Police Force in Shwebo township and at the Yadanabon Bridge Combined Checkpoint on 5 October, a combined team under the management of the Ayeyawady Region Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force at the Pantine Checkpoint on 6 October, the Mayanchaung Permanent Checkpoint in Mon State, The Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) Combined Checkpoint, captured communication devices and CCTV cameras and accessories, unregistered Kenbo 125, unregistered Toyota Mark II car, cattle, motor cycle parts and fruits.

Therefore, 11 arrests estimated at 176.442 million Kyats were made on consecutive days from 5 to 7 October, according to the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
