Illegal Currency Exchange Activities: CBM takes action against NUGGETS Viber Group

The Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) announced on Saturday that it will take action against the NUGGETS Viber Group for providing illegal currency exchange services, in cooperation with law enforcement institutions.

The individuals with ill intention, including the NUGGETS Viber Group, are intending to destabilize the state and currency circulation through unlawful currency exchange operations. The group also published fabricated news, damaging the reputation of the CBM. The public is advised to conduct currency exchange transactions only through officially licensed banks and money changers to avoid unnecessary losses.
