Hydropower plant’s flood discharge in Viet Nam

Lao Cai Provincial Police quickly mobilized forces to help the flood victims move to safety, following the hydropower plant’s flood discharge in Viet Nam. Due to the rapidly rising flood on the Chay River, the Hydropower Plant announced the flood discharge, leading to a high risk of landslides on riverbanks, slopes and flooding in low-lying areas downstream of the river.
