Humanitarian issues: MoSWRR Union Minister receives IOM Chief of Mission

A delegation led by MR Dragan Aleksoski, Chief of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Myanmar paid a courtesy call on Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr, Soe Win at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.

On the occasion, they discussed migrant worker issues between Myanmar and neighboring countries and providing assistance to victims of human trafficking, reducing losses and damages by the disasters and reintegration of trafficked persons in the community, plans to sign MoU between the Ministry and IOM, participations of IOM in the humanitarian assistance programs for the cyclone victims in Rakhine State together with UN organizations, INGOs in cooperation with the government under the coordination of UNOCHA and entry visa issues of foreign employees from IOM.
