Humanitarian Assistance: More relief flights landed in Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw

A powerful earthquake struck central Myanmar on March 28, causing significant damage in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, Shan State (Northeast) and Nay Pyi Taw Council area. As part of ongoing humanitarian efforts, 6 foreign aid flights began landed at Yangon International Airport and Nay Pyi Taw Military Airport to deliver crucial assistance on April 5.

The relief flights from Singapore, the USA, China, Thailand, Malaysia and Sri Lanka carried both supplies and medical personnel. The relief supplies landed in Yangon were transported to Nay Pyi Taw under the supervision of the Yangon Region Government. These teams will continue providing search and rescue, medical care and rehabilitation services to those earthquake affected victims.
