Humanitarian Aid :SAC Chairman accepts cash donation from well-wishers

A cash donation ceremony for relief and rehabilitation works in the areas affected by the storm “MOCHA” was held at Zeya ThiriBeikman of Yangon Region Command on Monday.

On the occasion, Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing expressed thanks to well-wishers for their generosity to render urgent humanitarian assistance in the relief and rehabilitation works for Rakhine State, Chin State, Sagaing Region and Ayeyawaddy Region.

Natural disasters are unpredictable but if there are good preparations and timely actions, loss and damage can be reduced to a certain extent. Due to the natural disaster preparedness, the nation is able to successfully overcome the severe storm with minimal loss and damage.

Officials from the AHA Center have already arrived to render assistance to the disaster-hit areas. Moreover, other countries have offered to provide humanitarian assistance to Myanmar. The Senior General also expressed gratitude and respect for their commitment when the nation is in need of assistance for the storm-hit areas.

He also stressed the importance of unity and community spirit. Next, the Senior General received cash donation of 1 billion Kyats from the families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy, Air) and over 12.181 billion Kyats from the well-wishers.
