Humanitarian affairs: Meeting with UNOCHA Head of Office a.i.

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Thet Thet Khine received a delegation led by Ms Danielle Parry, UNOCHA Head of Office ad interim at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

On the occasion, Ms. Danielle Parry reported plan to sign a new letter of agreement between the Ministry and UNOCHA and plan on taking duties of UNOCHA Head of Office in Myanmar.

The Union Minister discussed relief items delivery detail program of 7 UN organizations and 3 INGOs with the coordination of UNOCHA under the management of the Government for the storm victims in Rakhine State and transportation affairs.

The permanent secretary Dr Ko Ko Naing, Directors General of the Departments and officials joined the meeting.
