Human Resources Development: Union Minister for Labour addresses users' workshop

Union Minister for Labour U Myint Naung on Wednesday addressed the Handbook on Human Resources Development Indicators Users' Workshop Opening at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw.

In his address, the Union Minister highlighted that the Ministry’s Handbook on Human Resources Development Indicators has been compiled and published annually with the help of UNFPA since 1997, and continued to be published with the national budget since 2007.

It has been compiled and published for the 22nd time until 2020-2021. The regular publication of such handbook makes reliable and accurate statistical information readily available. Polices can be made for the future of the country and the state's economic development level and standard of living can also be known.

For the Handbook on Human Resources Development Indicators, the Ministry of Labour has been working together with relevant ministries and universities and colleges, associations and experts, the Union Minister added.

And, attendees made discussions in groups for sustainable development of the Handbook on Human Resources Development Indicators and for publishing the 2021-2023 edition. This workshop was also attended by concerned officials and 122 observers.
