Human Resource Development: Union Minister attends Cooperation and Services Forum

Union Minister for Labour U Myint Naung participated in the ASEAN-China Human Resource Development Cooperation and Human Resource Services Forum 2023 in Nanning of China.
In his part, the Union Minister said that in today's world, human resources are the main drivers of the global integration, climate change, migrating and geographical change. In Myanmar, in accordance with labor laws, tasks are being carried out with the aim of developing the country through the tripartite cooperation between, the government, employers and employees.
China's current human resource development policies are the same as the policies of ASEAN member countries, including Myanmar. The Union Minister also expressed his belief that there will be more cooperation between China and Myanmar for the development of human resources in the future.
During the trip, the Union Minister held a meeting with Minister of Labour and Social Welfare of Laos Mrs. Baykham Kha Hiya for legal access to employment opportunities among Myanmar and Laotian workers in border areas in accordance with the existing labor laws of the two countries, signing a memorandum of understanding between the two countries to regulate the entry/exit of workers and protection procedures for workers.
