






An educative seminar on human resource development and the danger of gambling and narcotic drugs was held at the Myitkyina University in Kachin State on Wednesday.
At the event, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan said that by holding such kind of seminars, new generation youths will understand well the dangers of narcotics and gambling and they can build their life with education.
He called for the youths to strive for improving socio-economic life of the people in the state. The Rector of Myitkyina University also explained about holding the talks. The State Chief Minister then presented fiction and non-fiction books for the University library and the Library of Myanmarsar Department donated by Kachin State Libraries Foundation.
After that, the National Literary Award Winner Writer Agyi Ko Ko (Katha) talked about the dangers of gambling and narcotic drugs. On the same day, the State Chief Minister attended the Anniversary of Legal Affairs Ministry held at the State Advocate-General Office in Myitkyina.
At the event, he called on the law officers in the State to make constant study on laws, bylaws, directives and procedures that are related with responsibilities to be compliance with the current State’s policy and to perform their duties responsibly.
After that, a video message of the Union Minister and Union Attorney General sent by the Ministry of Legal Affairs and a video clip on the activities of legal offices of the Ministry were shown. The law officers and staff then sung a song in honour of the Ministry anniversary and the State Chief Minister provided cash assistance.
Likewise, the State Chief Minister together with the State Minister for Natural Resources, officials and Kachin State Clean & Green Team performed collective sanitation activities inside and outside of Sitapur Manaw ground for cleaning and beautifying.
