Huge Christmas tree lit up in Grand-Place of Brussels

A five-tonne Christmas tree was lit up in Brussels on Friday to mark the beginning of the 22nd edition of Winter Wonders.

The event is a sound and light show, which is taking place at Grand-Place square until January 1.The tree in the square was decorated with 600 champagne-coloured balls and two kilometres of LED lights.The roughly 20-metre-tall tree was originally planted in the 1980s.
