








In commemorating the 76th Union Day, the traditional Htamane making contest of the Ministry of Cooperative and Rural Development was held at the ministry in the morning on Thursday and the Union Minister U Hla Moe, permanent secretary U Khant Zaw, directors general, the contestant teams from the departments, officers and staff members attended and joined happily.
First, the Union Minister for Cooperative and Rural Development U Hla Moe gave an opening address and viewed the traditional Htamane making of five contestant teams from the Minister’s Office and Departments.
Next, the permanent secretary, director general and deputy permanent secretary awarded the first, second, third prizes to the winner teams and consolation prizes.In the afternoon, the coordination meeting of small scale industries department was held at the department and attended by the Union Minister U Hla Moe, Deputy Minister U Myint Soe, permanent secretary, directors general, deputy directors general and officials and the directors from the regions and states, principals of Lacquer ware college and Saunder Weaving and Vocational Institute attended the meeting via online.
In his remark at the meeting, the Union Minister U Hla Moe said the Ministry is implementing the development of rural areas, food security and socio-economic development of the people in line with the 5 future programs and 9 objectives set by the State Administration Council.
The union minister added to give training only to those who actually want to establish an industry and they should be provided assistance to be able to set up an industry.By giving value-added foods production training, they will understand the risks of chemicals put in the food processing,Good Hygiene Practice and Good Manufacturing Practice.
Then, the attendees took part in the discussion regarding with the status of work completion for 2022-2023 fiscal year and the plans to be implemented in the 2023-2024 fiscal year, it's learnt.
