




The Kayah State Government organized the Myanmar Traditional Htamane-Making Competition at the Kanda Hay Won Park in Loikaw on February 12. The event was attended and supported by the State Chief Minister, U Zaw Myo Tin.
Initially, the participating teams took their designated positions, after which the judging panel explained the competition rules and regulations in detail. The Chief Minister and officials inspected the preparation and arrangement of the equipment to be used by the competing teams in the traditional Htamane-Making competition. They also encouraged the participants with motivational words.
Subsequently, the competition commenced. The Chief Minister and officials observed the enthusiastic and spirited teamwork of the competing teams, as well as the traditional cultural performances by ethnic groups, long and short drums ensembles, and the lively support from departmental personnel, students, and the public.
Following this, the judging panel evaluated the performances based on the predetermined scoring criteria.
The award ceremony then took place, where the Chief Minister, Regional Commander, State Chief Justice, and members of the State Government presented awards to the winning teams.
After that, the Chief Minister and officials presented cash award to the traditional cultural performance groups and long and short drums ensembles, it’s reported.
