Hotels and Tourism Sector: MoHT Union Minister receives Indian Ambassador

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr.ThetThetKhaing received the delegation led by Indian Ambassador Mr. Abhay Thakur at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday. 

During their meeting, they cordially discussed for promoting cooperation between government and private sector in tourism industry, operating direct flights, investment in India-Myanmar tourism promotion programs to attract tourists from India and international community, promoting Myanmar's destinations and tourist attractions widely on social media through video clips.

They also exchanged views on the plans to invite people from India's tourism industry to Myanmar for familiarization trips (FAM-Trip) and cooperation for the convenience of currency exchange for tourists.
