Hotels and tourism sector: MoHT UM met with members of MTF

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Kyaw Soe Win met with the Chairman and Central Executive Committee members of the Myanmar Tourism Federation (MTF) at the Ministry on Tuesday to discuss the successful execution of the Myanmar Tourism Fair 2025 (MTF-2025).

The Union Minister gave a greeting speech at the meeting. He also heard reports on the goals of the first MTF, cooperation with ASEAN countries, plans for Myanmar’s destination promotion, MTF organization plans, collaboration with associations and companies, Ministry’s future initiatives and drafting of the Myanmar Tourism Master Plan (2026-2030).

Upon the reports, the Union Minister stressed the need for government and private sector cooperation in tourism development. He highlighted MTF 2025’s potential for international visibility and announced plans to seek approval for the fair.

He urged tourism operators to engage with related sectors and emphasized the importance of workshops for the Myanmar Tourism Master Plan. The Union Minister also called on attendees to cooperate in tourism development efforts.
