Hotels and Tourism: MOHT Union Minister inspects the private institutions

For the human resource development in tourism sector, the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism is conducting training courses on Tourism and Services, Language Development and Vocational support.

On October 10th, Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr. Thet Thet Khaing toured to the private vocational training schools related to hotels and tourism industry in Yangon Region.

The visit includes M Hospitality and Tourism Institute, Yangon Global Enterprise and Singapore-Myanmar Vocational Training Institute. During the inspection, the Union Minister heard reports on the subjects being conducted by the respective institutions and collaboration with international organizations.

Upon reports, the Union Minister stressed the need to follow the laws and procedures of the Ministry as well as the standard of ASEAN and international norms. He also called for participation in the skill recognition programmes implemented by the Ministry, ensuring to turn our skilled workers in hotels and tourisy industry with better employment opportunities.

Then, the Union Minister and party observed the conducting of training course both theoretically and practically.
