Hotels and Tourism: MOHT Deputy Minister tours in Mon State

On 19th March, Deputy Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Phyo Zaw Soe presided over a meeting with the staff from Mon State Hotels and Tourism Department and officials from Hotels and Tourism Associations in Mawlamyine Township.

At the meeting, the Deputy Minister stressed the attendees to perform their responsible duties in line with the existing laws and procedures emphasizing on MSME development within the state, acceleration of Government-Private collaboration, active participation of the relevant individuals in drawing Standard Operation Procedure to ensure systematic involvement of tourism businesses within Mon State, cleaning and greening of the prominent places of Mon State to attract the interest of the visitors.

The Deputy Minister also encouraged the attendees to extend their knowledge of respective occupations and coordinated necessities. Subsequently, the Deputy Minister inspected the construction of new office building of the Department, instructed on timely completion of the process meeting set standards and coordinated necessities.
