Hotels and Tourism: Discusses tourism cooperation with Russian and Thai delegations

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr Thet Thet Khaing received a Russian Delegation led by member of the Government of St. Petersburg and Chairman of the External Relations Committee Mr. Grigoriev Evgeny Dmitrievichin Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

They discussed matters on strategies for promoting collaboration within the tourism industry, human resource development, reciprocal visits between tourism destinations in Myanmar and St. Petersburg, as well as the extension of commercial flight operations and improved arrangements for Russian tourists visiting Myanmar.

In the subsequent meeting, the Union Minister received a delegation led by Executive Officer of Thai-based Best International Travel & Agency Ms. Kulchalee Preechayadeekul, and discussed the plans regarding to attract tourists traveling to Thailand to also explore Myanmar, creating promotional video clips showcasing Myanmar's tourist destinations for broadcasting in Thailand, extending flight services between Yangon and Bangkok, and fostering cooperation for the development of bilateral tourism.
