Hospital Development Symposium: MoH UM attended and delivered an opening speech

The Department of Medical Services under the Ministry of Health hosted the opening ceremony of the Hospital Development Symposium at its headquarters in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.

Union Minister Prof. Dr. Thet Khaing Win attended the event and delivered an opening speech.In his speech, the Union Minister highlighted the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to improve public healthcare, focusing on rapid disease prevention, control and vaccination campaigns to prevent outbreaks.

He also outlined plans to ensure public hospitals can operate at full capacity during health crises and emphasized recruitment efforts to recruit sufficient healthcare workersin line with the guidance of the Head of State.

The Union Minister also highlighted the ongoing installation of radiotherapy machines for cancer treatment, stating that the service is expected to begin soon. The Hospital Development Symposium, scheduled from November 5th to 8th, aims to enhance services in public hospitals and devise strategies to reduce the financial burden of healthcare on individuals.
