Honouring the Outstanding Students: Awarding ceremony at Kan Zun Ahin High School in Myeik

Taninthayi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko accompanied by region ministers and departmental officials attended an award presenting ceremony to honor the students who excelled in matriculation examination at Kan Zun Ahin Private High School in Myeik Township on 25th August.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister outlined the crucial role of education in regional development and improving the socio-economic status of the citizens.

The Chief Minister congratulated Mg Lin Lin Paing from Kan Zun Ahin Private High School who achieved the highest marks in STEAM-2 in the whole nation with a total of 521 marks. He also highlighted the exerted efforts of the government for the emergence of the qualified youths who can contribute the interest of the nation, providing scholarships and stipends to outstanding students and the students who can’t afford to complete their education. Out of 2,493 students who sat for the 2024 matriculation examination in Taninthayi Region, 1,206 students passed the examination with a pass rate of 48.38 percent.

Likewise, Kan Zun Ahin Private School achieved 85.07 % pass rate in 2024 Academic Year with two 6-distinction winners, five 5-distiction winners, two 4-distinction winners, three 3-distinction winners, thirteen 2-distinction winners, twenty four 1 distinction winner.
