Honouring the Excellences: MOPF awards the outstanding students and staff

The Ministry of Planning and Finance held a prize presentation ceremony in Nay Pyi Taw on Saturday to honor staff’s offspring who excelled in the 2023-2024 matriculation exams, as well as winners of the Freelance Article Competition, Training Course and sports excellence awards, in conjunction with the provision of stipends for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein highlighted the need for the youth to develop both intellectual and physical skills to build a modern, developed nation. He also encouraged them to use their time effectively and continue learning in today’s competitive, tech-driven world.

Then, the Deputy Prime Minister and concerned officials awarded honorable prizes to students for their achievements at the 2023-2024 academic year: six students with 6 distinctions, eight students with 5 distinctions, eighteen students with 4 distinctions, thirteen students with 3 distinctions, thirteen students with 2 distinctions, and twenty-eight students with 1 distinction.

Additionally, they also presented prizes to one winner of the freelance article competition, thirty-one outstanding staff at the training courses of Civil Service Academy and twenty-three staff of the Ministry’s training courses.

Prizes were also awarded to Ministry athletes who won second place in the Inter-Ministries Football and Futsal Tournament in commemoration of the 76th Independence Day anniversary. Additionally, Stipends were provided to the staff’s offspring studying in basic education schools in Nay Pyi Taw for the 2024-2025 academic year.
