Honouring Ceremony: New Curriculum Drawing Completion Ceremony

Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe attended the KG+12 New Curriculum Drawing Completion Ceremony on Tuesday at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw.

In his speech, the Union Minister said that as the Ministry of Education, the curriculum reform process is a major issue in carrying out educational reforms for the development of the education sector. It’s found thatthe basic education curriculum reform process started with the "Comprehensive Education Sector Review (CESR)" conducted in 2012-2013.

It was necessary to revise and draft the basic education curriculum, the KG+12 basic education curriculum that will provide 21st century skills was implemented. In implementation, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) provided technical support for curriculum development through the Basic Education Elementary Curriculum Reform Project (CREATE).

A total of 449 people who participated in the reform of the basic education curriculum will be recorded and honored, the Union Minister added. And, certificates of honour were presented to those 449 people.
