Honouring Ceremony: Mandalay Region Gov’t honours outstanding students

Mandalay Region Government on Wednesday honoured the students who excelled in the 2023-2024 matriculation exam.

Chief Minister U Myo Aung attended this honouring ceremony at the city hall which began with a song by students.

There, the Chief Minister said that the government has been making efforts to ensure that all school-aged children have the opportunity to learn, to keep the school dropout rate low, to have equal access to education without any discrimination and to raise the standard of education in the country.

Works are also underway to bring high-quality human resources that excel in all-round excellence. The Chief Minister also urged the students to try hard to become those whom the state can rely on.

And, awards and certificates of honour were presented to 93 students who passed the 2023-2024 matriculation exam with distinctions. It’s reported that Mandalay Region ranks the 3rd in the 2023-2024 matriculation exam pass rate.
