Honouring Ceremony: Independence Day celebration participants honoured

A ceremony to honour those who made efforts for winning 2nd prize for parade floats representing the Ministry and staff who took part in respective sectors at the 75th Diamond Jubilee Independence Day was held at the Ministry of Transport and Communications on Monday.

At the event, Member of the SAC Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San said that the staffs performed dutifully the assigned duties with good civil service spirit and team work for the successfully holding of the Independence Day ceremony that would remain in history, and he believes that the staffs gained good practices and experiences. The honourable and memorable things will be remained along the life of the staffs as they participated in such kind of grand ceremony.

The State is building in line with the motto “Keep Moving Forward to Achieve Our Goal” and the Union Minister called for the staffs to serve the interests of the nation by keeping good tradition. Later, the Union Minister presented certificates of honour and honouraria for the 2nd winning parade float in the Diamond Jubilee Independence Day ceremony as well as certificates of honour to parade troops, flag bearers and those who participated in the Committee for Organizing Commemorative Booths and Transportation Sub-Committee.

He also gave certificates of honour and honouraria to two heads of departments who composed the Independence day commemorative song to sing in marching parade float and also had honorary lunch together with the staff. After the lunch, the Union Minister cordially greeted the staff.
